Newcastle, commonly known as the city centre, is an area where the old meets the new, where there is an abundance of music,arts, festivals, films, galleries and theatre. Newcastle is also well known for its Sporting teams including the Newcastle Knights Rugby League team and United Jets soccer team, which plays in Australia’s highest level competition the A League.
